The test was carried out based on the Mexican Official Standard NMX-BB-040-SCFI-1999 for the determination of antimicrobial activity in germicide products. Disinfectant activity by the microbial challenge of MRSA (ATCC 33591).
- Results: Initial viable account (UFC/mL) 1,300’000,000 vs Final viable account (UFC/mL) 1 ‘200,000.
- Conclusions: During the analysis, a percentage reduction of 99.99990769% of the population of Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) was determined after 30 seconds of contact with the product Ion Gel ZCM-25.
