This topical skin irritation study evaluated the dermal tolerability of a 10% ION-ZC1 cream formulation in healthy human volunteers. The study was conducted by Cencon Labs, Mexico in 2014 and used standardized protocols to measure irritation signs such as erythema, edema, or any visible reaction on the skin.
The results demonstrated that ION-ZC1 produced no skin irritation in any of the 10 human subjects, confirming its excellent dermal compatibility for topical use.
These findings complement the broader human safety data for Ion Gel ZCM-25®, where ION-ZC1 is used at even higher concentrations (25%) with similar tolerability.

This topical skin irritation study is one of several safety evaluations conducted on ION-ZC1 and Ion Gel ZCM-25®. Other human studies, including a 14-day Phase I trial, confirmed:
Together, these data support the use of ION-ZC1 in medical creams, wound dressings, and dermatological formulations.
ION-ZC1’s ion-based redox system offers therapeutic effects without compromising skin integrity.
This verified topical skin irritation study confirms that ION-ZC1 at 10% is safe for human dermal use, with no observed irritation. This aligns with findings from higher-dose formulations and supports its broad clinical deployment in topical medical applications.
